20 Things That Happen When You Become A Beauty Blogger

20 Things That Happen When You Become A Beauty Blogger

Happy New Year guys! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & New Year. It feels slightly late saying it now, but this is my first post of 2017! I can't believe it's actually 2017, I know everyone says it but I really can't believe how quickly 2016 came and went.

This post is something I have had saved in my drafts for so long, I have been gradually adding to this list since I started beauty blogging a couple of years ago. I added a couple more points to it recently and I realised I have hit 20 things on my list, so I thought it was about time I share it!

If you are a beauty blogger yourself and can relate to any of these, I'd love to know so please leave me a comment! Hope you enjoy reading :)

You will never use new makeup before taking photos of it first.

You will become obsessed with candles, flowers, home d├ęcor and pretty much anything that would make a good photo prop.

You will appreciate natural daylight more than ever.

You will learn that products actually have good sides and there will be some products you just hate photographing.

You will become obsessed with Ikea.

White backgrounds/furniture will become your best friend.

You will become obsessed with social media.

Your phone battery probably won’t last more than half a day.

You will justify new makeup purchases by saying they are 'for the blog'.

You’ll probably be skint all the time because you’ve spent all your money on makeup.

You will experience blogging guilt, it’s a real thing – see my post here about how to deal with blogging guilt.

You will never have enough time to do everything you want to do.

Your blogging mojo and inspiration will come and go and this is ok.

You will put yourself under immense pressure to blog.

You will realise there are actually people out there who are as crazy about makeup as you are.

You will constantly compare yourself to other bloggers and probably not feel good enough at times.

But you will discover there is a whole supportive blogging community out there that you never knew about and you will make amazing friends.

You will constantly have to explain to your non blogging friends and family what blogging actually is.

You will never have enough makeup (even though you don’t use half of what you own).

Despite the fact that it is such a big commitment and sometimes you wonder why you’re doing it (as well as trying to balance a full time job and social life) you absolutely LOVE it and couldn’t ever imagine not blogging!!
