An Introduction to BoroughBox

BoroughBox

One of the brands I met at the Big Blogger Expo a couple of months ago was BoroughBox. They stood out to me on the day as their stand was amazing, they had decorated it so beautifully, had lots yummy food samples to try out and were so friendly. At the event they were taking email addresses to potentially work with bloggers in the future and I put mine down as I knew I was interested in BoroughBox. A couple of weeks ago they kindly sent me a box full of some goodies to try out and I have been so excited to share these on my blog.

BoroughBox

BoroughBox stocks produce from a wide range of independent, specialist food and drink businesses. Their aim is to bring together all of these businesses into one place where shoppers can easily purchase these products online. They began on Borough High Street in London (hence the name!) where the founder wanted to use his digital background to help producers from all around the country get their products to more front doors. This is the main reason I was attracted to BoroughBox as I am always a massive supporter of smaller brands and keen to help promote the good ones. BoroughBox gives them a way to get their products online and give them a market they might not otherwise have access to.

On BoroughBox you can purchase gift sets for all occasions, individual products and they also have a monthly subscription service. Despite the name BoroughBox is not affiliated with Borough Market in London, the majority of their products are from over 250 sellers from all over the country, however they do have some products available from the market too.

So, here's what I got in my box!

BoroughBox

Organic Mint Raw Chocolate – This was the first thing I tried from my box (chocolate obsessed) and boy was it amazing! It is Vegan and dairy free though you may not think it, it tasted gorgeous! It’s seriously guilt free chocolate which I will definitely be purchasing again!

BoroughBox

Handmade Vanilla Fudge - Next I went straight for the fudge, can you tell I have a sweet tooth?! It is from Borough Market itself and tasted so yummy. If you are a fan of fudge I definitely recommend this, it is really high quality and tasted so good.
BoroughBox

Ginger Tingle Fruit Cake -  Described as a rich, fruit cake, with Stem Ginger, Walnuts & plump juicy vine fruit & steeped in mouth tingling Jamaica Ginger Cake liqueur. I took this to work as a snack one day and I wanted another one straight away!

BoroughBox
Organic Honey with Cocoa & Orange - This was one of the products I sampled at the Big Blogger Expo so when I saw it in my box I was so excited. It tastes exactly like chocolate and is healthy which is amazing. I had this on toast and loved it.
BoroughBox

Pink Himalayan Salt - I haven't tried out this salt yet but I am excited to. It is a healthier salt which is pure and rich in minerals. I will most likely use this as a table salt or maybe in cooking. I love that it's pink as well!
BoroughBox

Biltong Company Teriyaki Dried Beef - I wasn't sure I was going to like this as it's not something I would usually go for, however I'm all for trying new things so I tested it out! I was pleasantly surprised, it's got a very unique taste which I really liked. It's such a quick and easy snack to have that's not bad for you. I'm not 100% sure I would go for this again though, but they do have a range of flavours available also.

BoroughBox

Bucino Pumpkin Seed Oil - I haven't tried this yet but pumpkin seed oil is something I have been wanted to try out in a recipe for a while so I will definitely test it out soon.

BoroughBox

Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Basil - I've used this in a Spaghetti bolognese which was lovely, and this week I tried it in a salad which tasted so good! I've not had olive oil with added basil before but now it is definitely a favourite.

You can probably tell by now that I absolutely love the items in my BoroughBox. My particular favourites were the raw mint chocolate bar and the cocoa & orange honey. I often find myself sticking to the same supermarket brands all the time and I love that BoroughBox has allowed me to try out some food brands I wouldn't of otherwise come across. If you are a foodie and enjoy trying new brands and unique food products I definitely recommend BoroughBox. Their website is so user friendly, I went on there to look at the gift sets available as I have some birthdays coming up and I was really impressed with the ease of use and how much choice they have. I know what I'm getting my family for Christmas this year (lets hope they don't read this!).

Have you tried BoroughBox before? What's your favourite item from my box?
