Rodial Glamoxy Snake Mask Review

Rodial Glamoxy Snake Mask Review
Rodial Glamoxy Snake Mask Review
A couple of months ago I visited the Rodial sculpting bar in Harvey Nichols to have a facial and makeover using some of their products (it was absolutely amazing!) I fell in love with pretty much everything - in particular the Glamoxy snake mask. I only tried it out on my hand as we didn't have time to use it on my face, but I absolutely loved the look of it and they kindly gave me one of the snake masks to take home and try out properly.

Rodial describes the Glamoxy snake mask as "a jet black brightening mask with syn-ake dipeptide, french clay and liquorice extract. An innovative black peel-off formula that visibly improves the appearance of skin radiance and texture with dipeptides, inspired by the effect of the temple viper venom, to reduce the look of lines and wrinkles. French clay, enriched with minerals, deeply cleanses and purifies pores to remove excess oil, dirt and impurities".

Sounds amazing right?! Keep reading to find out.....

The first thing you notice about this mask is the jet black colour, I have never come across a face mask like this and it's pretty cool! I also noticed the smell straight away, it is so strong and smells like alcohol (this is one of the ingredients). It is so strong that it actually made my eyes sting slightly when I was applying it. This doesn't last long though and once it starts to dry it actually smells quite nice.

As the snake mask is a gel consistency it is not the easiest to apply. It's very sticky so it's hard to spread around the face evenly and dries very quickly. Once it's applied, you can feel the effect of it almost straight away. Your face begins to tighten - probably more than any other face mask i've ever used - I love this feeling!

The mask should be left on for 15-20 minutes and then peeled off. Once I found an easy area to start peeling it was fairly easy to peel off. I love the feeling of peeling it off, it is so satisfying and I could feel it was removing loads of dirt and dead skin cells which was amazing.

After peeling it off and washing away the bits that were left with some warm water, I could see the full results. My skin felt incredibly clean, smooth and so soft. Also it definitely has an immediate brightening effect. I have only used it a couple of times so far but with such good results already I can't wait to see the effects of using it long term.

The snake mask is quite pricey at £68 for 50ml, but if you are willing to pay this it is definitely worth the investment. You can get a lot of uses out of it and when it comes to skincare, I always see the benefit of using a slightly higher priced, and higher quality product.

I absolutely love the Glamoxy snake mask and so glad I have added it into my skincare routine! Have you tried the snake mask? What's your favourite Rodial product?
