Last week HarveyNichols hosted an event called the Future of Beauty in association with Marie Claire to celebrate the beauty breakthroughs currently shaping the industry. It was an all day event featuring product demonstrations, presentations with a panel of experts, live music and drinks. I was invited along to this by the skincare brand Rodial to experience a facial and makeover in their sculpting bar.
On arrival I was
greeted with a glass of champagne and possibly one of the cutest cupcakes ever which tasted amazing! I took a seat in the sculpting bar and was introduced to Iqra
who works for Rodial. She asked me about my skin type and what I am looking to achieve
and then chose the products she thought would work best for me.
Iqra began by removing
my makeup with the Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Water and then using some of the
Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Moisturiser. I feel in love straight away with both
these products, it’s not often I find a product that removes my eye makeup well
without stinging my eyes and the moisturiser smelt absolutely amazing.
Next she applied
the Snake Serum, Instaglam Airbrush Primer and I tried out some of the Glamoxy
Snake Mask on my hand. I absolutely love the packaging of these products, the
black and silver design is so sleek and sophisticated. I was completely blown
away in particular by the Snake mask, it is so different to any I have tried before.
It is a jet black colour and peels off the skin once it has dried. My hand felt
amazing after it so I can only imagine what wonders it would work on my face!
After this, Iqra finished off by applying some Rodial makeup. Unfortunately I can’t remember the exact items she used, but I know I loved them, in particular the bronzer.
