Two Great Budget Brow Products | Rimmel & Seventeen

Filling in my eyebrows is something I can't leave the house without doing, so I'm always excited to try out any new brow products I come across. When I was in Boots a couple of weeks ago browsing the makeup I spotted these two products and couldn't resist picking them up because of the really low price tags. It's always a risk when I purchase something without reading reviews first but I decided to go for it with these two and thankfully the risk paid off!

Rimmel  'Brow This Way' - £3.99
I have never tried a brow gel before - I normally use a pencil or powder, but since the release of Benefit's Gimme Brow and hearing good reviews about it I have wanted to try one. I haven't really come across any other than the Benefit one which I didnt want to spash out on unless I know I like brow gels, so I was really glad when I saw this Rimmel one for only £3.99.

Even though I'm blonde I like to colour my eyebrows in quite dark so I picked this up in the shade 'Dark Brown'. I really love the colour, as you can see it isn't too dark at all, it is actually probably more of a medium brown but it is exactly the shade I wanted.

Straight away I realised the best thing about using a brow gel is how easy the application is. It is so quick to apply, you just brush it though your eyebrows and you are good to go! It doesn't give a very defined finish so it is better if you like natural looking brows. I normally do prefer a more defined look that can be achieved with a pencil or powder, but I have found this absolutely perfect for using in the mornings when I am in a rush getting ready before work. It has great staying power as well, it is almost completely in tact after a whole day in the office.

Seventeen Brow Sculpting Pencil - £2.89
I haven't tried any products from Seventeen before so I didn't know what to expect with this brow pencil. I pretty much picked it up because it was only £2.89 so I thought why not give it a try! Thankfully, I am really impressed with it. I went for the shade 'Natural Brown' which is exactly what it says it is. It is a lovely natural shade which works great with my blonde hair as I don't want it to be too dark and fake looking.

The application is really easy - you only have to press really lightly with the pencil to get a great result on your brow. This is a big plus for me as I have found with other pencils you have to press hard and go over the same spot a few times to get a good shade. Using a pencil allows you to get a really lovely defined brow which I absolutely love. This pencil makes it so easy to do so as like I said you only have to go over a spot once which lets you get a great defined and neat finish. The only slight downside is the staying power - it is good but not great, I have found it can smudge and rub off after a  few hours. Despite this, I really like it and it is great value for only £2.89.

I love a bargain and this was definitely one for me, both of these products add up to £6.88 and I am really happy with them. Have you tried either of these products? What did you think?

MAC Lipsticks | Top 3 Summer Pinks

(Left to Right) Lustering, Pink Nouveau, Show Orchid
One of the things I get really excited about when summer comes around is getting out those brightly colour lipsticks. I am so obsessed with wearing bright colours during the summer (especially pink) so I thought I would share with you my top three pink lip shades from MAC which I can’t get enough of at the moment and are definitely my go to colours for summer 2015.

Lustering – This is one of the first mac lipsticks I ever bought and definitely one of my favourites. This one has lasted me ages, I go through phases with it where forget about it and then remember and wear it every day for a while! At the moment I am going through the phase where I just can’t stop wearing it. Lustering is a lustre finish by mac. This means it gives sheer coverage and a glossy finish. This kind of finish doesn’t last as long as some of the others, but I find it perfect for the summer months as it is lightweight and not drying at all. It is a great everyday shade which I like to wear to the office, as it doesn’t stand out too much but still gives a lovely noticeable warm pink colour with a slight hint of red to it.

Pink Nouveau – I imagine this shade is one that won’t be to a lot of people taste as it is a very Barbie pink, but it is probably my favourite of all three. Outside of work, I wear this lipstick almost every day during the summer (as long as my outfit goes with it!). It is a cool, blue toned pink that I feel would suit most skin tones, but looks especially lovely with a tan. It is a satin finish, so it is quite matte but has an added sheen and therefore is a little bit less drying on the lips which is perfect for summer. The coverage is really long lasting which is another reason why I find it great for every day as I just apply it in the morning and it’s still there five hours later looking lovely and bright. Read my full review here.

Show Orchid – As you can see from the picture, this one is a very bright fuchsia pink shade with a blueish sheen to it. This is a very bold shade so one that I definitely keep for the evenings as I’m not quite confident enough to wear it during the day time. It is an Amplified finish which is similar to matte as it has great longevity, but it is much less drying and has a slight sheen to it. I absolutely love wearing this colour during the summer, it is such a fun shade and perfect to liven up an evening outfit. Read my full review here.

Iconemesis iPhone Case

I absolutely love getting a new phone case for my iPhone. There is just something exciting about it which makes me feel like I have a brand new phone for awhile (anyone else get this?!) I also always make sure I have a case on it as it helps so much to protect the phone from scratches etc - my iPhone still looks brand new when I take the case off it.

When Iconemesis contacted me asking if I'd like to try out one of their phone cases, I was excited to see what they had available. I have had a pink Victoria's Secret case on my phone for awhile now so it was perfect timing to try something different. I started browsing their iPhone Pinterest board (here) to see what designs they had available and was impressed with the wide selection they have on offer. There was quite a few I liked, but as soon as I saw this pug phone case* I fell in love. I am absolutely obsessed with pugs - they are SO cute and it is my dream to have one of my own once I get my own house. I already have way too many things with pugs on, including t-shirts, socks, even a cushion.. so why not add a phone case to my collection!

What I really like about the case is that the design is completely unique. Iconemesis collaborate with independent artists and illustrators to create all their phone cases, so each one is unique. This pug phone case is designed by Gemma Correll and I absolutely love it. The pugs look great and I love the colours she has used - it is a great case to have on my phone during Summer.

So far I am really impressed with the quality. It is really strong and not flimsy at all so I feel like my phone is protected. One thing I have learnt since using phone cases is that it is definitely worth investing in a good quality one, I have bought I couple of cheap ones which just snap almost straight away. The Iconemesis phone cases range from about £10- £15 on their wesbite here, which I think is quite reasonable considering the quality.

Have you heard of Iconemesis? What's your favourite design from their website?

Holiday Clothing Haul | Primark, New Look, Bershka

There is nothing more I love more than adding to my Summer wardrobe, it is definitely my favourite season of the year to shop for. At the end of this month I am going to Hideout festival in Croatia and I have been starting to plan what I am going to be taking with me. I am so pleased with these purchases as they are all so reasonably priced - especially the Primark buys, I just couldn't wait to share these on my blog.

First up is this yellow Primark crop top which was £5. This caught my eye straight away because of the beautiful bright yellow colour, yellow is one of my favourites shades for Summer as I think it looks great with tanned skin. It ties up at the back and will be so easy to throw on over a bikini. When I saw it was £5 I had to buy it!

Also from Primark is this white tasselled crop top which was £10. I love the detail on this and it will be perfect to wear over a bikini on holiday.

Bikini Top - £6
Bikini Top - £3
Finally from Primark I picked up this bikini top and bottoms. I love the floral design on the bottoms and I was originally trying to find the matching top but unfortunately they didn't have it in my size. When I spotted this black top though I actually preferred it as I think it goes well with these bottoms.

I think these shoes are my favourite purchase of them all. I came across them on the Public Desire Instagram where they were on on offer for £16.99 so I headed straight over to their website and bought them! I have wanted a pair like this for awhile, I love the wedge as I'm quite short and they are so comfortable. They will be perfect for Hideout festival.

Shorts - £25.99
Berska has fast become one of my favourite clothing stores over the last few months. I hadn’t even heard of it before I moved to London but since then I can’t get enough of it. Last weekend I went into their store on Oxford Street to browse their summer range. There was so much in there that I loved it was hard to narrow it down! I couldn’t say no to these shorts, I love the ripped detail on them. I find it hard to find high waisted shorts that fit me properly and these had the perfect fit and were fairly reasonable priced at £25.99.

Top - £5.99
I also picked up this top from Beshka. I love the pattern on it and when I saw it was only £5.99 I couldn’t say no. it will be perfect to throw on top of a bikini on holiday.

Shorts - £17.99
Also whist I was exploring Oxford Street last weekend I went into another one of my favourite shops, New Look and the first thing I spotted was these white shorts. When I tried these on they were so comfortable and fitted perfectly. I love the detail on them and I can definitely see myself wearing these a lot on holiday over a bikini.
Cami Crop - £4.99
Lastly I picked up this gorgeous orange cami crop top. The photo doesn’t do it justice at all (I’m not sure what my camera was doing at the time!) but it is such a lovely bright shade. Wearing  bright colours during the summer makes me so happy and orange is one of my favourites, after pink of course! This was only £4.99 which I thought was really reasonable and goes well with the white shorts I bought.

The last few clothing hauls I have done I noticed I had some comments saying it would be nice to see what the clothes look like on. I don’t really do many ootd posts at the moment but this is definitely something I want to give more time to in the future. For now, I have put together some pictures I took while trying them on so you can see what they look like.

Fragrance Direct | Jimmy Choo 'Blossom' Perfume

Jimmy Choo Blossom Perfume review

I absolutely love the feeling of getting a brand new perfume. There's just something about opening up the beautiful packaging which most of them have and using a new scent for the first time. It was no different when this Jimmy Choo Blossom* perfume arrived on my doorstep from Fragrance Direct. I have been eyeing up this perfume for months now, it is definitely made for me. I love the glittery pink and black box it comes in, I didn't want to throw it away! Is it just me that keeps some perfume boxes?! The perfume bottle itself is gorgeous as well, I love the different shades of pink and it glistens beautifully when the light is on it.

Jimmy Choo Blossom Perfume review
This is quite a sweet smelling perfume, it is a floral and fruity scent and one which I think is perfect for the summer months. It is described by Jimmy Choo as a floral fragrance, with top notes of red berries, a heart of sweet pea and rose and finally base notes of white musk and sandalwood. I can definitely smell the red berry and rose scents, it is so lovely and fresh.

Fragrance Direct is an online company that sells discounted perfumes, aftershaves, beauty, skincare and hair products. Until now I had never ordered anything from Fragrance Direct, I have always known about them and been interested in having a browse but just never got round to it. So, when Fragrance Direct contacted me and asked if I'd like to choose something from their website I was really excited to see what it was like.

The first thing I was really pleasantly surprised by is how good the discounted prices actually are. When a company says they offer discounts I offer wonder whether these are too good to be true - but when I compared the prices of perfumes on Fragrance Direct compared with Boots prices, Fragrance Direct came up cheaper on every one. After wondering how this is possible I read on their website that the way they can afford to offer these discounted prices is by keeping overheads low, they have no shops and no middlemen - clever!

Jimmy Choo Blossom Perfume review

This Jimmy Choo perfume is on Fragrance Direct for £38.99 (link here), whereas in Boots and Superdrug it is £46 for the same size. It is definitely worth checking out Fragrance Direct if you are eyeing up a perfume, as it is likely that it will be cheaper on there! I know where I will be shopping for perfumes from now on. I have also noticed that they sell products from two of my favourite brands, Bobbi Brown and St Tropez, so I am going to be checking out what deals they have on these.

Have you shopped on Fragrance Direct before? What did you think? Do you like the sound of this Jimmy Choo Blossom perfume?
