February Favourites

Hey everyone! It’s finally spring and one month closer to summer! I hope it’s not too long until it gets warmer and brighter, it is so much nicer to finish work when it is still light outside. There are quite a few products I’ve been loving this month and I have been looking forward to sharing them with you.

Mac Please Me  – I never used to be a fan of the matte lipstick range from MAC as I always thought it would be too drying as I have naturally quite dry lips. However a while ago I purchased Please Me as I was looking for something really long lasting and I haven’t looked back since! It isn’t drying at all and the staying power is amazing, it has been my go to everyday lipstick for weeks now. Full review here.

Burt’s Bees Lip BalmWhen it is as cold as it is at the moment a lip balm is essential for me to moisturise my lips and stop them cracking. I love Burt’s Bees, they have such a wide range of lip products available in all different colours and with all different scents. This particular one is called ‘Hibiscus’ and it smells amazing, it is tinted as well so provides a lovely subtle coral colour. It is perfect for a quick pop of colour throughout the day.

Lush ‘Kiss Me’ Lip Scrub – It has taken me absolutely ages to get round to purchasing a lip scrub from Lush, but when I spotted the gorgeous pink colour and amazing sweet smell of ‘Kiss Me’ I couldn’t resist picking this up. They are always raved about and I can definitely see why. I use this all the time now, it exfoliates the lips and leaves them feeling lovely and soft. I talked about it more here.

Naked Eyeshadow PaletteEver since I purchased my first Naked palette a few years ago I have been hooked. The quality of the eye shadows is amazing, you get a really good selection of shades and the palettes are very reasonably priced at £37. A few months ago I ran out of my first Naked palette and was using Naked 3 most days. For Christmas I got a brand new Naked 1 palette and it is by far my favourite of them all. I use it almost everyday so it had to feature in this months favourites.

Elf Complexion Brush This is the only brush I have from elf and I absolutely love it. I was looking for a multipurpose brush that I could use for powder bronzer and blushers and this is perfect. It is angled so it works really well to apply bronzer and contour with it. It doesn’t give a defined contoured look as it is too big, but it allows you achieve a quick easy application, so it is the perfect go to brush for everyday when you aren’t looking to spend ages on your makeup.  The price is so reasonable as well at £3.95 I definitely need to get my hands on some more brushes from Elf.

The Body Shop Eyebrow Powder – This has been a staple in my morning makeup routine and a definite favourite of mine for months now. The quality of the brow powder is amazing, with the right brush it allows you to achieve a really defined look which is really long lasting. I have reviewed it in more detail here.

Garnier Summer Body Gradual Tan I am a massive fan of gradual tanners as they allow you to get a gorgeous subtle colour that doesn’t look fake at all. They are also perfect for the winter months when you don’t want to look too dark. I have tried a few and I always keep coming back to Garnier. It smells amazing, it’s so moisturising and provides a gorgeous colour that builds up the more you apply it so you can achieve the colour you want. It is so easy and hassle free to apply - perfect for a quick application before bed.

Schwartzkopf got2b Volumising Hairspray  - I am always drawn in by anything that claims to give lots of volume to the hair and the pretty pink packaging won me over whilst I was browsing Boots a couple of weeks ago. I was really impressed when I tried this hair spray for the first time and knew I loved it straight away. It has a sweet smell which is gorgeous and it does a great job at adding volume and holding the hair in place. I will definitely be repurchasing this when it runs out!
