Bobbi Brown Warm Eye Palette

One of the presents I was lucky enough to receive at Christmas was this Bobbi Brown Warm Eye Palette. I was so excited when I saw this as I am such a big fan of neutral shades and the colours in this palette just look amazing.

The packaging of this is absolutely gorgeous. It comes in a long rectangular case with a brown marble pattern and elegant gold writing. It is very thin and compact when closed, and contains a large mirror on the inside and a brush. This makes it perfect for travelling when you are limited with space which is something I always look out for when choosing a product.

The palette contains six eyeshadow shades with a mixture of mattes and shimmers. Starting from left to right - 'Bone' is a light ivory shade which is absolutely perfect for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners of the eye. 'Champagne Quartz Metallic' is a light shimmery pink/ gold shade which works as a great base colour on the eyelid. 'Malted' is a soft matte taupe shade which is can be used either as a base eyelid shade or for some subtle colour in the crease line. 'Gold Sparkle' is my favourite of them all - it is a stunning gold shade which is so glittery and perfect for a party eye look. 'Sable' is a matte chocolate brown which would also be great for in the crease - though I have been using this to fill in my brows which works well. Finally, 'Espresso' which is a dark matte brown - this shade is perfect for using along the lash line.

As you can see, there is such a range of colours which are so versatile and can be used to create lots of different looks. This for me is what makes it worth its expensive price tag at £37.50.

The colours are very light, so it is best for creating soft, natural eye looks and it is perfect for daytime makeup. You can how light they are in the swatches above, I struggled to get them all to show up. 'Bone' on the far left you can barely see! I'm not sure if this was just the lightening, but I can guarantee when I use it to highlight the brow bone is is great. The pigmentation of the four matte shades is really good, especially 'Sable' and 'Espresso'. As for the two shimmery shades, the pigmentation is still good but not incredible. What also is great is that there is hardly any fallout when applying the eyeshadows which can sometimes be a problem - this is good as there is no product being wasted!

I must mention at this point how great the double ended brush that comes with this palette is. You can see above one end, which can be used to apply the eyeshadow all over the eyelid and in the crease area. It is quite small so it allows you to be precise where you apply colour and it is so soft.

The other end is this eye liner brush which can be used with the darker matte shades to line the eyes. I love this brush the most, it is so firm and allows you to get a precise and even line - I have also been using this to fill in my eyebrows and it works really well. I love it when a palette comes with a good brush, as they can be so expensive when sold separately. This eye liner brush on it's own is £22.50 on the Bobbi Brown website.

I think this palette was limited edition for the Christmas period and when browsing online I couldn't seem to find it in stock anywhere unfortunately. If I am wrong please let me know! I did however come across the Bobbi Brown Cool Eye Palette which looks incredible as well - I would love to get my hands on this!

Have you tried either of these Bobbi Brown Eye Palettes? What do you think?
