Bourjois Bronzing Powder & Highlighter

Hey guys! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, I am most definitely suffering with some serious Monday blues today.. Friday hurry up please? I am feeling very behind with blogging at the moment as I had an awful bug last week and was off work for a few days, so I am hoping to get back on track this week!

For todays post I am talking about these Bourjois products I purchased a few weeks ago. I have seen so many wonderful reviews about the Bronzing Powder and having recently run out of one of my bronzers I decided to finally give this a try. I also picked up the Bronzing Powder with Highlighter duo as it was buy one get one half price in Boots at the time (how could I say no to that?!)

I must say before anything else that my favourite thing about these by far is the chocolately smell. That may sound silly but they really do smell absolutely gorgeous. I am a sucker for a sweet smell and I have found myself sitting and sniffing these palettes for longer than is probably acceptable before actually applying them. I am also a big fan of the packaging, although it is cardboard which may look worn quickly, it is very easy to open and close with the magnet and a good size to fit in my make up bag. Plus it looks like a chocolate bar (my favourite thing).

First up is the famous Bronzing Powder. I can see why there is so much love for this, it is such a lovely colour which is very wearable probably for most skin colours. This is because I have found that if you want a subtle bronze a light layer works well and if I want a darker look in the evening, it builds up really well to provide a lovely deep bronze. It has a matte finish so blends flawlessly into the skin, and although it does have some shimmer in it, it will not make your face sparkle and shine, it is just enough. For me this bronzer really does tick all the boxes and I am very happy I finally have it in my collection.

Next up is the Bronzing Powder and Highlighter duo. This features the same famous bronzer as above, combined with a shimmery, champagne coloured highlighter. I am really impressed with the highlighter, when applied to the cheekbones it provides a wonderful pearly glow. However, it is quite a light shade so may not be for everyone.

I love the convenience of having both these products as one, it is great for when I'm travelling and can't pack as much makeup as I'd like. The only downside is that you do need quite a small brush to actually separate the bronzer and highlighter to apply them.

Overall, I am very happy with both these products from Bourjois and they are such great quality for only £7.99 each.

Have you tried either of these? What do you think? :)
