OGX Moroccan Argan Oil

Now we all know that Argan Oil is probably one of the best things to happen to hair care in the last couple of years, unless you have been away with the fairies you will have noticed it is taking over! It is now appearing in shampoos, conditioners and all kinds of products, I’ve even seen it in a lip balm now (which I really want to try!). With all this choice though, it may be hard to know what product is actually best to buy, I know I have struggled with this. There are so many reviews around which are really helpful, but you still never know what is going to be right for your hair until you try it. I know there are many higher end Argan Oil brands which sounds AMAZING, but my hair is naturally quite oily so I didn’t want to take the risk and splurge in case they aren’t right. With this being said, I chose to go for OGX’s Morrocan Argan Oil which I purchased from Boots for £6.99.

Now I’m obviously not trying to tell you that this will solve all your hair problems but I will tell you that it has solved most of mine (big statement I know!) Although I am a natural blonde it is quite dark, and every 8-12 weeks I have a full head of highlights. I know bleaching my hair this often is so bad but I’m just not happy unless my hair is a light shade of blonde. Bleaching my hair has left me with very dry ends that are very weak and can break off easily. So, obviously I have been looking for solutions to this.

After washing my hair I rub a few drops of this Morrocan Argan Oil between my hands and then massage onto the ends of my hair. I believe you can put it all over the hair on the scalp as well to nourish the roots, but I tend to avoid doing this as I think it could potentially make it become greasy quickly, as my hair is prone to greasiness.

From what I have read, some of the benefits of using Argan Oil include promoting the growth of healthy, strong hair and it can even reverse much of the damage done by artificial chemicals and dyes on the hair.

I can instantly see results when I use this, my hair is less frizzy, has a lovely shine and gloss to it, as well as feeling much softer and manageable when styling it. Long-term, the condition of my hair has really improved as well. I have noticed I can go a bit longer with my hair, before I have to go to the hair dresser and get those split ends cut off. It feels much softer and not very dry at all, which is great to achieve on bleached hair. Overall, my hair is much healthier and my hair dresser even commented on the good condition of my hair, saying there is not really any damage to it at all. This is a change from a few months ago when she was worried about putting bleach on my hair and drying it out.

This change in my hair is definitely down to the use of Argan Oil, as I have not changed anything else in my everyday hair care routine. I now rely on it most days to give me that lovely shine and softness.

I really recommend this product if you have experienced any of the same issues with your hair, it has proven to me that you don’t need to spend crazy amounts on a higher end brand of Argan Oil, they probably all do the same job at the end of the day!

Have you tried this? What do you think?
