Dress: Miss Selfridge
Shoes: Primark
Bag: Mulberry
Both bracelets: Topshop
Heart ring: Topshop
Leaf ring: New Look
Necklace: Topshop

I love reading outfit posts and seeing how bloggers put together an outfit. So, when I bought this dress from Miss Selfridge last week I thought it would be perfect for my first outfit post! The colour of this dress caught my eye in the store, it is such a gorgeous orange/ coral colour and so summery. I wore this dress out on Saturday night when I went out for my friends birthday.

I decided to style it with my black wedges from Primark and my Mulberry clutch bag. I often go to these wedges for a night out, as they are so comfortable and this clutch is great for a night out as it has a useful strap and a zip so nothing falls out. I also thought this necklace added a lovely bit of detail to the outfit.

I will definitely be taking this dress with me when I go on holiday as I think will be a lovely evening outfit. I will probably style it with white or gold wedges when I'm away which I think will be nicer for summer.

What do you think of this dress? If anyone has any holiday outfit posts let me know, I would love to see them :)

palm tree wish list

Happy Weekend everyone! My Friday evening has been spent browsing clothes online. I am looking for some new summer items for two festivals I am attending and a holiday which I have coming up in the next couple of months.

I began making a wish list and soon realised a theme was developing... palm trees! I think this is such a nice print and so perfect for summer. I have put together my favourite items in the picture above. I obviously can't buy them all, so now I need to choose, this is going to be hard!

What do you think of this print? What are your favourite items from the list?

Soap and Glory - Arch De Triumph

Arch De Triumph - £8.00

I love eye brow pencils as they can give such a nice shape and definition to the brows without a lot of effort. In the evenings or special occasions I prefer to use a wax and powder but this takes a lot longer, so for an everyday basis I like to use a pencil. I have quite light eyebrows as I am naturally blonde and can't go a day without colouring them in and my new favourite product is this Soap and Glory 'Arch De Triumph'.

Every time Boots have a 3 for 2 offer I can't seem to resist, the thought of getting a product for free is just too tempting! Last time they had a 3 for 2 offer on make up this lovely Soap and Glory eyebrow pencil landed in my basket. I am always so drawn in by Soap and Glory products due to the beautiful packaging (probably because most of it is pink), but I haven't actually tried much of their make up.

I bought this pencil as it has a brow shaper on one end and a highlighter on the other, which is really convenient and will be useful for times when I go away and can only fit so much make up with me.

The brow shaper is a really nice light brown colour, which is perfect for my hair colour. I think it might be too light if you are a brunette though, but I suppose it depends on you and how dark you want your eyebrows to be.

I am really impressed with how easy it is to apply, you do not have to press hard for the colour to show. I apply it using light strokes filling in any gaps in my brows.

The other end of is this lovely highlighter. This is such a nice bright pink/ white colour and really creamy and easy to blend. It gives such a nice lift and I really think it brightens up my eye area a lot.

I have been using this pencil most days for a few weeks now and considering I sharpen it quite regularly I am impressed with how long it is lasting.

If you are looking for a new brow shaper I definitely recommend this, just be careful if you like to have dark brows as it may be too light for you. It is good if you want natural looking brows, not  the strong definition that you get from a wax/ powder and brush.

Soap and Glory also have a helpful guide and video on their website of how to use this here

Has anyone else tried this? Is there any other Soap and Glory makeup you recommend? Really want to try more now :)

Cheeky Chica Hair Extensions

I first came across this brand of hair extensions after reading a review by Inthefrow on her blog (definitely check her out if you haven't already, one of my favourite bloggers!). I have needed new hair extensions for awhile and I have been putting off purchasing them (due to being a poor student). However, after looking at the Cheeky Chica website I was swayed by the 18" Quad Weft. This piece has 55g of hair on only four clips, which I think is really impressive. I struggle to fit a full set of extensions in my hair as it is quite thin and the clips can show through sometimes, so as much hair on as few clips as possible is a big plus for me. It is also currently reduced from £42.98 to £34.98, at such a good price I could not say no!

I have to say.... I am so so so impressed with it! It arrived in beautiful purple packaging, which I forgot to take a picture of before I opened it (oops - too keen to see what it was like). As you can see below, the hair is all firmly attached and the clips are very strong and sown on well. This is the colour 'Golden Sands'.

When I first wore these extensions I wasn't sure if this weft would be enough on its own, so I was assuming I would have to mix it with some other pieces. However, I didn't feel I needed to do that. I don't think this would be the case if you have thick hair, but as mine is quite thin I think it blended in quite well on its own. So, if you have thin hair like me and don't necessarily need a full set, I really recommend this, or if you have quite thick hair it would be a great edition to a full set of extensions.

You can see how they look on me in the picture below. In the picture on the right there is a nice bit of extra length to my hair and it looks much fuller and thicker, which is exactly what I wanted.

From the front - you can see how well the weft blends in with my natural hair. I think this is quite impressive from just one piece of hair, and it saves a lot of time compared with putting in a full set. I would still consider adding some extra pieces if I want a thicker look, for example if I was curling my hair, but I am glad this piece looks ok on its own.

I also have to mention that Cheeky Chica threw in a freebie lipgloss from Collection 2000, which is a gorgeous shimmery pink colour, perfect for a night out and what a lovely little surprise!

Has anyone else tried Cheeky Chica hair extensions? What do you think? :)

MAC Lipsticks - 'Sandy B' and 'Saigon Summer'

Left- 'Sandy B' and  Right- 'Saigon Summer' | £15.00 Each | Link |

As a present for finishing university I was lucky enough to be treated to a couple of new MAC lipsticks. Ever since I started reading blogs I have developed a love for MAC lipsticks as I have read so many great reviews about them and from the moment I bought my first one I knew I was hooked- they are such good quality. I now have quite a few and every time I can add to my collection I get very excited!

The first lipstick I chose was 'Sandy B'. I first came across this colour about a year ago and have always had it on my mind but never bought it! I am so happy I finally have, I absolutely love the colour. It is a peachy pink, sheer gold colour and a frost finish, meaning it is very shimmery. I think this will be such a nice colour to wear during the summer with a tan. Below is me wearing 'Sandy B'.

The second lipstick I chose was 'Saigon Summer'. I have been looking for a bright orange lipstick for the summer months and as soon as I saw this colour I loved it. A lot of the lovely orange colour lipsticks I have come across from MAC are a matte finish, which isn't my favourite as it is quite drying and doesn't really suit my lips. So, as this is a creamsheen finish I thought it would be much better as I prefer this formula. I think this is actually a creamsheen pearl which is meant to add frostiness to the colour. You can see this in the pictures below, it has a really nice shimmer to it and makes the lips look glossy.

What do you think of these lipsticks? Are there any other MAC lipsticks you recommend for this summer?

St. Tropez Self Tan Face Lotion

A few weeks ago I purchased this St. Tropez face lotion. I am always cautious using fake tan on my face as I worry it will block pores and cause spots. However, this claims that it does not block pores and is designed for delicate skin on the face so I wanted to give it a try.

I have been really impressed with the results since using this. I apply a small layer of it onto my face before bed and in the morning it gives a really nice colour and glow. I use it a couple of times a week, which seems to be enough to keep a good colour. Although it doesn’t last as long as I would like, but I think this unavoidable just because of how often I wash my face and use make up removers on my skin. I haven’t noticed it blocking my pores at all, and it has such a gorgeous smell which is a big bonus!

During the summer when it’s hot and especially on holiday, I don’t like to wear foundation on my face, so I think this will be a great product to use. I will most likely be repurchasing this as well as I’ve nearly run out!

It retails on the St. Tropez website for £22 which is quite expensive, and although I do think it is worth the investment as it does last a long time, there are betters deals that come out on Amazon, Feel Unique and probably others. So, if you are interested in buying this I recommend having a look there first.

Has anyone else tried this? Let me know what you think :)

Bleach London Silver Shampoo

As a blonde I am always looking for ways to maintain my colour and make it last as long as I can before having it dyed again. Firstly because it costs so much getting it done at the hairdressers and secondly because I have bleach put on my hair which isn’t good for it!

Silver shampoos are designed to get rid of the yellow/brassy tones blonde hair often develops. I have tried a number of silver shampoos over the years and I love them so much! Until recently I would say my favourite was A Touch of Silver Shampoo

A few months ago lots of bloggers were raving about the brand Bleach London and how good it was. I knew I had to try one of their products and when I saw they do a silver shampoo I had to have it! I was also pleasantly surprised when I saw it was only £5 in Boots.

I am always cautious the first time I use a silver shampoo as they can be very strong and leave a purple stain on the hair. The bottle says to put it on and lather then wash off, but it doesn’t recommend how long to leave it on the hair. To be safe I only left it on for a minute or so the first time, and when I dried my hair I didn’t see that much of a result.  However, when I used it the second time I left it on for around 5 minutes maybe a couple longer and I noticed a huge result! There was a definite change in my hair colour, with my highlights showing more white/ platinum blonde instead of a bit brassy. I did try doing a before and after photo but the colour didn’t really show well in the photos.

I use this shampoo once a week and it really does make a difference. It says to use it every other wash, but I would suggest to be careful doing this as there is definitely a colour build up so using it frequently might leave your hair looking purple.

I also recently washed my hair extensions in this shampoo to make them match my natural hair colour better and it worked really well. Although a couple of the clips did stain a little bit purple (oops) but at least no one sees those!

I really recommend this shampoo if you are blonde like me. They also do a purple conditioner which I am thinking of trying next. If anyone has tried this please let me know what you think :)

Has anyone else tried this Bleach shampoo? What do you think?

I'd love to hear any feedback.
